Faith in Mulberry

Last week Paloma Faith posted the leading press shot promoting her album, ‘The Architect- Zeitgeist Edition,’ to her Instagram feed. Faith is featured wearing one of my favourite combinations from the Mulberry A/W collection; The ‘Aria’ dress and the ‘Wide Brimmed Visor’ in ‘Midnight Bouquet.’

Mulberry’s A/W ‘Ready to Wear’ collection combines classic British ‘aristocratic’ fashion, inspired by 50’s glamour and the patterns and cuts of the late 70’s.

I love this combination.

As a fan of vintage fashion, and as someone who can never quite settle on an era, this blend was exactly what the ‘Architect’ ordered; Miss Faith and her stylist Phoebe Arnold seem to agree. I was delighted to see this design on someone whom it suits so well, Faith looks stunning. The hair and makeup, as well as the shot itself, are gorgeous and Faith is giving us some strong Debbie Harry vibes.

Sophistication meets rebellion.

The print, ‘Midnight Blossom’, is a favourite of mine. It first drew my attention in London where the campaign for this collection, featuring the ‘Lianne’ and visor, was displayed at Mulberry in Kensington a few weeks prior to the collection appearing on the runway in Seoul, South Korea, for London fashion week. The show was live streamed to a venue in London; Both Korean and British models were featured in the collection.

Over the past few days, we have seen Paloma wearing more and more of this A/W collection, most recently when she performed live on BBC’s The One Show to promote her new album.

Moreover, Mulberry is appearing frequently on her Instagram feed. It’s quite clear to us that Paloma and her stylist are Mulberry brand fans.

Perhaps there is a possible collaboration on the way?

I cannot think of anybody better to represent the Mulberry brand or any brand better suited to Paloma’s quirky rebel style~ it’s practically a match made in heaven (or rather Somerset.)

Thank you, Phoebe Arnold (Stylist), for keeping ‘Faith’ in off-the-wall British design.
